The Mississauga Fencing Club introduces the Youth League organized mainly for training purpose.
The Youth League is for boys and girls, who want to compete for fun and win medals and prizes, in several age categories: 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15. Due to the fact that some fencers will change age category after January 1st, we are going to change categories from January 1st to 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16.
Although competitions will be run as mixed events (boys and girls together), there will be separate ranking and awards for girls.
The best 6 tournaments will count for the final ranking.
Note: There is a requirement of participating in minimum 3 tournaments in the same age category to be
eligible for Prizes, and in 2 tournaments for medals.
Note: The Youth League is open for fencers from other clubs.
Every fencer can also participate in older age category than his (her) own.

Format will depend on the number of participants. Up to 9 fencers - 1 poule, round robin. For 10 and up - poules of 5, 6, or 7. Bouts for 5 points within the poules. Then direct elimination for 15 points with bouts for each place.
